Dr Rebecca King and Dr Amrit Virk from the GHRG-ST group presented at the 4^th Qualitative Health Research Network (QHRN) Conference 2019 held in London from 21st – 22nd March 2019.

Presentations were delivered in parallel sessions, Dr Rebecca King presented Qualitative research for large-scale sustainable impact on health in low-resource settings in the global health session.  Abstract number 01

Dr Amrit Virk presented Building sustainable partnerships with local researchers for qualitative health systems research in the participatory research session.  Abstract number 015.

During our recent visit to Kolkata, the GHRG-ST team met with Bruce Bucknell, Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata.

During our discussions the UK team gave an overview of the work we will be carrying out in Kolkata and in North East India.

Mr Bruce Bucknell commented “The British Deputy High Commission is fully supportive of this exciting new initiative, which addresses a real clinical need and will help to raise the availability and standard of surgical care in the states of NE India”.
