Feasibililty of Ilizarov frame fixation for closed tibial fractures in Sierra Leone
Our first project in Sierra Leone commenced at the beginning of 2019. The project is a single site before and after study for closed tibial fractures. Click here to find out more about this project.
In January 2019, some of the GHRG-ST UK team visited Freetown. The visit was to train Nurses and Medical Officers at the local government hospital in Freetown on research skills and specific training on the Ilizarov external fixation frame. Click here to read more about the visit.

Virtual reality technology to improve surgical training in Sierra Leone.
Our second project in Sierra Leone commenced in November 2019, the aim of this study is to conduct a training programme with a reverse classroom approach using a virtual reality module. Click here to find out more about this project.

TARGET
Training programme in Gas Insufflation Less Laparoscopic Surgery for Rural Surgeons of North East India
The TARGET programme took place at Kolkata Medical College in March 2019. The programme was delivered to 7 rural surgeons from North East India to increase the skills in laparoscopic surgery. Click here to find out more about the programme.
